Chevening provides outstanding emerging leaders from around the world with the opportunity to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the United Kingdom.
There is no such thing as a “typical” Chevening Scholar, but those who are successful tend to be ambitious, have strong leadership qualities, and have a strong academic background.
If you meet the eligibility criteria and other requirements, we encourage you to apply. They are unconcerned about your gender, age (there is no upper age limit), sexual orientation, religion, marital or parental status, caste, class, or other characteristics. What matters is your ability to submit a strong application that demonstrates you are capable of excelling on an intensive master’s course in the UK and that you have a clear vision for your future – and possibly that of your industry or country.
Chevening Scholarships are given to students who have strong academic backgrounds as well as demonstrated leadership potential. The scholarship provides financial support for Master’s degree studies at any of the UK’s leading universities, as well as the opportunity to join an influential global network of 44,000 alumni. For the 2018/2019 academic year, approximately 1,500 Chevening Scholarships are available worldwide. The UK government has made a significant investment in developing the next generation of global leaders through these scholarships.
